The "Kanak treatment" is our unique gas nitriding process developed in 1985 as a hardening treatment for non-magnetic stainless steel, which was considered difficult at the time. It is a diffusion treatment primarily based on CrN and MoN, significantly improving issues associated with conventional nitriding, such as reduced toughness, dimensional changes, and surface roughness, thereby enabling a wide range of applications.
